Alex Frenklakh
Artist behind locvio.tv, a boutique VFX and projection mapping studio that brings cinematic visuals to indie films, events, and local spaces.
Alex graduated college with a CS degree, and after a stint doing trading desk support in commercial banking, he decided that the calling of the arts was too strong to resist. He pivoted into Feature Animation Visual Effects, working for over a decade at Blue Sky Studios (of Ice Age and Rio film fame). After the studio's closing Alex has been creating VFX across a broad spectrum of projects, working with large teams on tent-pole films such as Shazam: Fury of The Gods, episodic series ('The Expanse", "Foundation") as well as helping indie film makers achieve their visions on smaller budgets.
Looking toward the future, Alex is energized to push his VFX work further, while finding ways to creatively and imaginatively combine VFX with other disciplines such as augmented reality and projection mapping.
